I've come to accept a certain level of combativeness on this thread; otherwise, I wouldn't be posting here. This level is just fine by me. Pardon me if it seemed like I was whining (again).

Besides, I was responding to Hmaly's mistaken notion that nothing innovative comes out of Intel. I can see why you consider my post to be confrontational and not his. He's just echoing what the majority of this thread feels, while I'm the one going against the grain. Guess that makes me the "combative" one.

I have to wonder why people think the successes of AMD and Intel have to be mutually exclusive. Perhaps it's just Jerry Sanders perpetuating that notion, especially as he continues to open his big mouth and whine that Intel doesn't play fair. But for the time being, both INTC and AMD are performing very well. And I'm very sure that both INTC and AMD will rise and fall together with the semi industry. Maybe the sooner people realize this, the sooner we can get rid of the infantile bantering that dominates this thread.
