I have to wonder why people think the successes of AMD and Intel have to be mutually exclusive.

Intel has done everything in their power to beat AMD down, for as long as I can remember. Intel has had many opportunities to allow for the mutual gain of both companies, but have chosen scorched earth policy instead.
