Hello All. The IBD article was as positive as it could possibly be. Unlike the WSJ article of a few weeks ago, this is not limited to Texas, but goes to the entire national readership of IBD which is 235,000. I haven't seen it online but have the paper. I would recommend anyone interested in ZONA to pick up a copy. I will now paste a post from the AOL boards which have had a lively battle recently between longs and shorts. Good luck.

Sorry to ruin the weekend for our friends that are short ZONA, but there is a very positive article on Monday's IBD that should bring some fireworks on Monday morning. I think you can get to IBD thru AOL to read the article, but just in case here is a summary of what it says: The title is "Impotency Pill Awaiting Final Results." It says that Zonagen <<expects to announce the results of a U.S. study involving 900 men by midmonth.>> Sorry Harddata, I had say on May 12, next time i'll try to be more accurate.
The IBD article quotes Dr. Padma-Nathan as saying that <<Things are looking very good for Vasomax. I believe we'll see significant results.>> Dr. P-N says that <<So far, most of the patients who have completed the study have opted to keep using the drug>>.
Joe Podolski, president of the company, says Zonagen is <<in discussions>> with at least four multinational drug makers and that if the results of Phase III are strong, a deal could be signed within 60 days.
<<Vasomax will retalil for roughly $7 a pill.>> and Zona should be able to keep $2 of that, or around 30%.
<<The potential for profits is huge, analysts say. Impotence affects roughly 50 million men worldwide, 30 million of them in the U.S. Vasomax, if approved, would work in about 40% of cases, Zonagen estimates.>>
About Viagra, the article says that Vasomax works in 15 - 30 minutes while Pfizer's pill takes about an hour. And that patients using Viagra have suffered "headaches, indigestions, facial flushing, and changes in color perception", according to Dr. P-N. (I should add that these symptons are probably the same ones that the short sellers will experience this weekend.)
Regarding last year's trial in Mexico, that the shorts have tried to distort, the article says <<Last year, in a Phase III study of 150 men in Mexico - a prototype for the U.S. study - Vasomax helped 42% of patients get an erection and maintain it until orgasm every time they took the pill. Sixty-two percent of those using Vasomax reached orgasm at least once. That's about 50% better than placebo results.>>
IBD says that Vasomax should be in the market at least six months before Viagra.
Regarding royalties, an analyst from Harris Webb & Garrison estimates that ZONA <<could do almost 300 million in worldwide sales in 2000, resulting in royalties of $52 million for Zonagen.>> You can do your own calculations, privately, about what that means for a company with rougly 6 million shares outstanding. I don't want to do it here, to eliminate any posibilities of heart attacks to the shorts reading this message.
Yesterday I had warn the shorts that shorting ZONA was equivalent to playing Russian Roulette. It looks like on Monday they will be playing with a fully loaded gun. Good luck to all ZONER's, our wait is almost over!! Trade
