Hi Big Bull!
Thanks for the heads up on HOFF. As you know I have a position in them. It's up 18% for the last five trading days. I hope you finally took a position. It would be a shame for us to take your advice and profit and leave you behind. It just wouldn't be right! <g>
It was a tossup between GLBL and HOFF. With all of the GOM activity, I thought HOFF would be a better short term play. I'm really focusing on the NG play as I think that's where the earnings are going to come from first. And, earnings will play a significant role here shortly, when all the gimmes and rising tide stocks have to finally show us the money. Since HOFF gets most of their work from NG, it became crystal clear, to me, that HOFF was the way to go for now. The results verify that conclusion so far. Thanks again for the heads up!
Marc Chapman, hello! I'm in agreement with your assessment of the short term top in the OSX. I believe we'll see a dip in the next week or two. I won't predict the percentage because I honestly don't know. I do know that NE, FLC, RIG and MRL have all had earnings estimates revised downward. I'm assuming that may affect the stock price as we near earnings announcements.
Jim L, howdy! You are a valuable contributor to the board and I appreciate the effort you put in. Thanks! Like you, I'm fully margined, have been since last week. I have shifted towards E&P's and companies with large ties to NG. I thought it would be the smart way to invest for the short term. The jury is still out, but I'm up so far. Again, thanks for your insights.
Post Patrol! I don't know who has a prettier smile, you or Slider. <vbg> As you can see, I need to work on mine! I have a plan of action in place, just in case you're right. Be prepared! Learned that as a Boy Scout, sometimes we forget the simple things that are so effective. Best of luck.
