Linksys router

A few weeks ago there were some people on the thread talking about a linksys router for home networks. I had installed a firewall on my computer, and was getting security warnings every 30 minutes or so. It was probobly just some 15 year old kid running some port sniffing program or something, but still it really pissed me off. The linksys router was exactly what I was looking for, I ordered one that night.

Total cost, $158. Includes 4 ports and a firewall.

If your computer is already hooked up through cable or DSL using DHCP, you just have to plug it in, and it works. If you have static IP, you will have to do some configuring. My ISP uses DHCP, so I didn't have to do any configuring, but it looked pretty easy. I now have all my computers on the network. Also, if you have more than 4 computers, you can plug a hub into 1 port and the router will recognize it and assign addresses to your other computers.

All and all, a good buy. I'd be happy to answer any questions if there are any.
