I have a couple of questions.

I've been thinking some (dangerous, I know) about different approaches to investing/speculating/trading, whatever you want to call it. I realize there a method that works for one person may not work for someone else. But I'd still like to ask this anyway. In what order do you select vehicles for investment? Do you come up with a list of likely candidates and then look for entries/exits for within that list. Or do you start with a list or vehicles that look like they are set up for a good entry/exit and then decide amongst those with further background research?

In a nutshell:

1- FA/research/filters to select candidates then watch charts for entries

or

2- Scan charts for likely setups entry points and then use FA/research/filters to pick select candidates

(after re-reading the above I'm not sure it will be clear, if I need to provide a clearer definition of my question just ask)

I'll wait on the second question, I need to get a clearer idea of how to phrase/explain it.

Also, anyone care to comment on HAS? Broke (3T off possible shakeout?)out a couple days ago, still below bearish resistance line, put a small position on at ~16.5 looking for it to move near the BSL and then I'll decide from there. Stop is at 14 now. I'm pretty new and would be interested in any comments.
