I'm outta this one a long time ago, but your comment re a no vote prompts me to share a tidbit of my past experience, FWIW:

I was shareholder of APCO when F bought out the company. I opposed the merger and voted no, fully aware that my vote would have no impact, but, I'd at least get the satisfaction of voting no. It seemed the least (and most) I could do. Well, a long story short, those who voted "yes" received payment for their shares when the merger was approved. However, those of us who voted no had something like a 2 month wait. I had a large (for me) position that was effectively frozen for the duration.
