nihil is just being his whimsical self again. But it does seem that if a grab bag of laws are created willy nilly, we all become lawbreakers at one time or another. Then the state can practice their arbitrary enforcement at will.

The most corrupting law I can think of was the 55 mph speed limit. Even our dear grandmothers who never would have dreamt of breaking the law became scofflaws overnight. Respect for the law has eroded ever since.
