Radyne ComStream (NASDAQ SC:RADN)(Warrants: RADNW) Monday announced an initial contract to supply the satellite communications systems in support of a Southeast Asian government's "Distance Learning Over the Internet" project. The network will employ Radyne ComStream's Internet-over-Satellite technology.
Radyne ComStream is providing a turnkey, end-to-end solution for the project that will provide Internet access to a large number of schools and universities in this Southeast Asian country. The company reports the value of the initial contract to be in excess of $740,000. It is believed that there will be additional follow on contracts.
