Wireless Knowledge and Managemark Announce Strategic Alliance
Industry Leaders in Wireless Solutions and Mobile Workforce Management Collaborate to Deliver Business-to-Business Wireless Internet Applications
SAN DIEGO and SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Wireless Knowledge LLC, a Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq: MSFT - news) and QUALCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM - news) joint venture that brings wireless data to mobile workers, and Managemark(TM), provider of the best-selling expense management solution ExpensAble.comSM, today announced a strategic alliance to enable wireless access to Managemark's applications. The combined efforts of the two companies will enable use of Managemark's ExpensAble.com web-based service on a wide variety of mobile phones and devices, anytime, anywhere. Wireless access to ExpensAble.com will be available in the second half of 2000.

``Wireless Knowledge is focused on delivering applications for the fast- growing mobile workforce with wireless Internet applications that speed business processes, bringing greater efficiency and productivity,' said Eric Schultz, chairman and CEO of Wireless Knowledge. ``By leveraging our technology to enable wireless access to Internet applications such as ExpensAble.com, we deliver high-value tools to mobile workers.'

The wireless version of ExpensAble.com is targeted towards the exploding mobile communications and computing industries. International Data Corporation estimates that there will be over one billion wireless devices in use by 2003. Of those devices, it is expected that 40 percent will be used for wireless data applications such as ExpensAble.com.

``The new economy often demands that geographically distributed teams work around the clock and around the world,' said Ken Grunzweig, CEO and president of Managemark. ``By offering wireless access to ExpensAble.com and our future mobile workforce management solutions, our customers will benefit from increased convenience, flexibility and productivity. This alliance with Wireless Knowledge enables us to round out the mobile capabilities of our family of business-to-business web applications.'

ExpensAble.com is a web-based subscription service that allows mobile workers to manage expense reporting using any web-enabled computer, including a variety of desktop and laptop machines, WindowsCE and Palm computing platform devices. Users simply log onto the ExpensAble.com site to gain access to their corporate expense reporting system to create, submit, review and gain approval for their expense reports through an automated system. Now with Wireless Knowledge's technology, ExpensAble.com users can manage business expenses real-time using wireless Internet-ready devices like mobile phones. For example, at the end of a cab ride a user quickly enters in the amount of the fare including tip via a mobile phone. The amount is instantaneously recorded by the expense reporting system and is now included in an expense report and ready for submission.
