Hi Trevor,

Hawkeye started their airborne survey last August. I understand the delay was due to unexpected problems of sorts. Indeed, an inordinate amount of time was spent on the interpretation of the results by Bryan Covello of Yellowknife (local ph#: 9202729) and by Hawkeye's geologist, Vince Campbell. Mr. Neeld assured me that this was very necessary to avoid "screw-ups" which, in light of the Bre-X fiasco, is a luxury Hawkeye cannot afford. So it would seem the report was ready earlier but was subjected to further scrutiny by the geologists.

Mr. Neeld assured me he received the report at the end of April and would be releasing it by mid May. But having experienced unexpected delays in the past, I was not sure if some more delays lie ahead. That's why I used the words, "come on stream".

I am certain the delay in the EOP was due to the Bre-X nightmare: the financiers are just waiting to see what happens after the Strathcona report.
