Robert,

SEG has sold off a large percentage of shares in SNDK and now they end up with $200 million in L&H stock.
I guess I am disappointed with these series of events.

The fact of the matter is as follows. My kids love to eat something called "lunchables". These are compilations which include some tasty snack crackers, squares of cheese (or cheese facsimile), Oscar Mayer lunch meat cut into handy circular slices, a cup of Jell-o brand jello and a container of fruit juice. These things are irresistable. Essentially, these are the American high-cholesterol equivalent of the Bento box.

SEG had the opportunity to create their own "lunchable" variation including Dragon System's voice recognition software, SanDisk's removable flash memory cards and a long-term storage system for filing. They had all the pieces of the puzzle in their "incubator". The market for such things as medical record notation and storage, legal documentation, office stenography,... is gigantic. Now SEG goes and trims out pieces of the puzzle. They should be out creating markets for the disc drive and SAN products, not waiting for the markets to come to them.

I think it is a lost opportunity.

Just my personal rantings.

I think I'll go eat a lunchable now and drown my sorrows in a fruit drink and a cup of cherry Jell-o.
