It seems to me the market is becoming a bit less speculative. In the past few weeks the OEX has been outperforming the COMP, which in turn has outperformed the RUT. When I look at individual stock charts I see big companies favoured over small ones, profitable ones over startups, and established sectors like computers outperforming new ones like fuel cells. The volume in penny stocks has dropped off. Is the mania passing its peak? If so, is this good news for blue chips? Not if they're overvalued, IMO. Call me crazy but I'd take Sears over Cisco.
