Burt, you missed my point!

Bestbuy which is the largest electronic retail chain in the US, is a much better indicator than a local paper. THAT was the point.

The lack of availability of high end Coppermines are not fiction based on selective reporting of retail shops by AMD fans, it is obvious fact that is simply observable by going to a local retail store.

Bestbuy, Costco and Gateway Country stores are selling the 1 GHz Athlon today! Anyone one, anywhere, selling anything above 800 Coppermine?

It is funny how people forget the old days when Intel filled up the OEM and distribution channels before they launched a product. It used to be that once Intel raised the curtain on a product, you could get on that day from all channels. Now, you place an order for it through a tier one OEM like Dell and if you are lucky you get it in 6 weeks. What a joke Intel has become.

If you want to think that lack of high end CPU's from Intel is a product of my imagination, be my guest.
