IBM and Rare Medium Sign Global Strategic Alliance

Rare Medium Joins IBM's Web Integrator Initiative and
Defines Plan for Working with IBM on a Wide Range
of Business and Technology Issues
Rare Medium Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:RRRR) announced today that it has signed a strategic alliance with IBM (NYSE:IBM).
The agreement provides a framework for Rare Medium and IBM to work together on a number of future engagements ranging from Web development and integration to venture capital strategy and the development of local e-business incubators.

As an IBM Web Integrator, Rare Medium plans to expand its network of IBM Centers of Excellence (COEs) to a total of ten offices. Rare Medium's Atlanta office has already been designated as a COE and the New York and Detroit offices are already Regional Solutions Partners with IBM. In the COEs, Rare Medium employees will focus on implementing Internet solutions across a wide range of IBM technologies, including WebSphere Commerce Server 4.1, DB2, MQ Series, AS/400, RS/6000, Netfinity and more. IBM and Rare Medium will also collaborate on go-to-market solutions designed to enhance potential client identification, solutions consulting and overall customer relationship management.
