Dave, you should have seen the AMD thread when it was widely rumored that X-Box was going to feature an AMD processor. The AMD advocates were praising the thing left and right. Then when Microsoft switched to Intel processors right before the initial announcement, those same people were saying, "Ah, who wants that low-margin market anyway?" It was the classic case of sour grapes.

So it seems that AMD wants to support RDRAM sometime in the future, huh? Otherwise they wouldn't have a couple of job openings asking for Rambus experience. Currently, all of the AMD advocates are ridiculing Rambus, mainly because they associate Rambus with Intel. As soon as AMD announces Rambus support, all of a sudden those same people will consider RDRAM to be a viable technology. Then they'll praise AMD for "waiting for the right time to support Rambus." You'll see.
