Yes, it is.

With EDIG's software or without it.

Anybody that thinks there is ANY technical difficulty in accomodating multiple codecs knows nothing about programming.

The greatest difficult is one of paperwork - actually licensing all of the codecs. I'll admit that EDIG has a leg up in that regard - they have gone through the process of licensing the codecs, which is a time-to-market impedement for anybody starting from scratch.

IMO, though, this multiple codec situation will not persist - an industry cannot be built on a tower of Babel.
