Aus,
Don't forget that Dragon just had revenues of $60 last year. Seagate owned about 38% of Dragon. When they sold their software holdings to Veritas, they also got a large premium to revenue, in fact some people at the time said that Veritas would never work off the good will that was involved. The initial reaction to the takeover was that Veritas's stock went from about 60 or so to the high 20s (those numbers are not adjusted for several splits since then).

Today, L&H's stock is up about 20. Sometimes synergies make 1 + 1 = 10. At least it appeared to be so in Veritas's case. I am not enough of an analyst of the voice recognition market to know whether this will be one of those cases, but the market today certainly seems to think so.

Rambling on,
Sam
