Hi Jon, It's true that it's a DSP. When it comes to handling multiple formats it acts as an encoder/decoder. That's a fact. You still need a file management system for flash that can handle and manipulate multiple codecs and DRMs. By the way, TI boasts that its users can program their DSP to decode most formats. You need to do more research! Kerry
