And if we want to go sightseeing, well, can we help it that things are so far apart? A few years back a friend from El Salvador took his brother to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix. His brother was amazed by the fact that they were going to drive a distance each way greater than the longest "width" (whatever you want to call it) of El Salvador without ever leaving the state.
