Reef 1 & 2 extension drilling reveals gold in quartz porphyry at Itetemia

VANCOUVER, March 28 /CNW/ - Tan Range Exploration Corporation is pleased
to report that it has received assay results from an initial drill program to
test for the potential extensions of Reefs 1 and 2 from the adjacent
Bulyanhulu property onto the Itetemia property. These results show a wide
interval of highly anomalous gold values which is open to depth and still
mineralized at the bottom of the drill hole.

This gold mineralization occurs in a quartz feldspar porphyry and is very
pervasive. Based on this encouraging exploration development, our consultant
has advised that an additional 3 diamond drill holes are required to test for
the deep lateral extensions of this mineralization.
The Itetemia Project is operated as a joint venture with Barrick Gold who
are developing the adjacent 7.5 million ounce Bulyanhulu gold deposit. The
joint venture agreement requires Barrick to subscribe for 1,176,471 Tan Range
shares at $0.85 ($1.0 million) before May 15, 2000. Tan Range is required to
spend 80% of these funds to develop the Itetemia property.
