actually scoc was as of close dec 16 the day it was announced

Are you saying that you chose SCOC December 16, 1999 and that was the same day Microsoft sold its stake in SCOC?

If so, that doesn't mean we should consider SCOC's
stock price that day. This is a list for year 2000 stock
picks.

Because you responded to the performance list and you
used the words "as of close", it appears you mean
that "you chose SCOC December 16, 1999 and Microsoft's
announcement to sell its stake correlated on that same day".

Please elaborate.
