This issue has highlighted why agencies such as CPS should be shut down and the cases turned over to the police.
About 7 years ago, someone who worked for me, was run up on charges, and nearly lost his career and committed suicide. Because of an overzealous case worker, the case worker basically saw sexual abuse in every touching act a man had with his children. She also viewed men with the same disgust as Lorrie does. It was obvious, listening to her in the briefings, that she was deeply scarred by a sexual event in her life. Either rape, incest or something else.
Think about this...let's say you were unfortunate enough to have been sexually abused as a child. And you were deeply scarred by the experience. Would you have a higher or lower possibility of going into the profession of case worker at an organization such as CPS? Some see it as their calling, and they go on a crusade, disregarding the "innocent until proven guilty" premise upon which our nation has been founded.
They see sexual abuse occurring everywhere, and with good intentions arrest and accuse, (predominately men) all over the country.
These damaged people, unable to come to grips with their horrific experiences are slowly creating an atmosphere where fathers are less and less inclined to become a nurturing part of the raising of children. When you combine this with an overzealous, overpopulated pack of lawyers looking for work. You have created a climate where our civil liberties will be trampled on under the guise of "We care about the children".
Although these people have good and honorable intentions (in most cases), they are in fact dangerous to the American family, liberty and freedom.
