Digital River, Digital Island Set Alliance Dow Jones Newswires SAN FRANCISCO -- Digital Island Inc. (ISLD) and Digital River Inc. (DRIV) formed a partnership to package a network infrastructure with a comprehensive electronic-commerce system, creating a joint e-commerce solution for application service providers, or ASPs. In a press release Wednesday, the companies said Digital River will market Digital Island's hosting, content delivery and network services and add geographic intelligence to customers' Web applications with Digital Island's TraceWare. In turn, Digital Island will market Digital River's e-commerce services to its clients' global customers. Digital River provides e-commerce outsourcing services.
