David- my limit of expertice at this point is to teach Kegel exercises or prescribe medications that may be of some use depending on type of incontinece- these meds are only somewhat effecive at best and have many potential annoyance side effects- most patients don't stick with Kegel exercises and most don't like the side effects of tradional incontinece meds- i think a mechanical device if easy and well tolerated would be a real boon to these women- some are embarassed to socialize or go out much in public because of their problem and many find wearing adult diapers humiliating- there is definitely a need for better options and uromed seems to have them- however at this point uromed is focusing on specialists- urologists and gyn- i think they would be wise to talk to family medicine as we probably see the majority of these women.
