Mr. Zakrosian...

>>Is it true that they are giving ZixMail away? <<

Tom H. answered the other part of your question. Regarding giving ZixMail away, few people really know what Don Cook, ZIXIT CEO is doing. I know I do not.

Last week they officially released the ZixMail product. Prior to that there were 6-10 press releases about Dallas Law firms adopting ZixMail. The press releases implied that these Law Firms were customers. Who knows for sure. Since no revenue was reported thru Dec. 31, we know that no one paid up until then.

It is common in the industry to give away Beta Test copies of new SW programs for testing purposes. One can presume that these Law Firms will eventually become paying customers but of course not guarantee it.

It is not common however to issue Press Releases saying people are adopting a particular SW application when it is in Beta Test mode.

It is also not common to issue PR of this nature without telling the public that these are Beta Test copies. Then again, you saw what happened with the recent Perot PR in which ZIXIT had to issue a clarification.

Their PR machine appears to me legal but coming close to being mis-leading. IMO, it is not at a professional level.

Now finally to your question about "giving it away." Their policy as I understand it is to charge $1.00/mo for users of ZixMail. It is going to take a LOT of users measured in the tens of millions to have a business model that will justify their current stock price.

Then again, they have another product, ZixCharge waiting to be released. I can only assume that we will see a flurry of announcements similar to the ones on ZixMail which will imply that ZixCharge is being "adopted" when it will more than likely be a Beta Test copy.

Given that this is the Internet era, putting a valuation on a development stage company is a fools errand. I would not be surprised to see the stock price to to 120 or 60 over the next two weeks and maybe both. Expectations will run high on both ends. In the end, customers will decide with their dollars and the market will assign a valuation which suits.

This is a very dangerous stock and IMO one that should be played with extreme caution Long or Short and NOT be played at all if you are doing it with a margin account.

All of the above is my opinion and for sure I could be wrong.

Good Luck

Bob T.
