I would think that a positive close will have a big psychological impact both to the would be sellers, buyers, and the those that shorted. The sentiment is very negative both in the sector and the market as a whole. Cohen, Brinker, to name a few die hard longs of the market became bearish recently. And I would bet that a lot of longs here before have switched camps, although they won't announce publicly. For me, I'll stick to this. For one thing, not many companies have pre-announced and all the bearish wind will come to pass, like they always do. Good luck to the remaining longs.
