Julie .... DMI is an important indicator IMO, but it should be coupled with others for a complete picture... I prefer to have the ADX low, the +DM low with both rising... I like it if they both cross the -DM from below ( offering a likely start to a new trend)... I often couple with MACD negative and rising, and a stochastic that is sending reveral signals ( if available, I also factor in the candle pattern, the price pattern(s) and volume.....

As I said, DMI is important, but no one signal is the Holy Grail ( IMO )
