Anyone have advice on best way to move to more of a cash position re: selling your good stocks for profits vs. taking a loss and getting rid of losers (or combination thereof). I have a little on margin that I want to get rid of, plus reclaim more of a cash position for eventual bargain hunting -- just seems to piss me off either way: taking a loss on a stock(s) that shouldn't be down that much, or selling a good stock(s)for a gain that still has more to go and represents the "strength" of my portfolio. (Holding longer-term like I used to isn't working in this screwed up market.)
