I've held EMC for some time now and there have been a number of discussions here about the price changing substantially at the end of the day. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see this price; but, look at the numbers. At 18:03, 100 shares were traded at $143.125 and the previous trade listed was at 17:18, 11,200 shares traded at $133.562. That's a ten point spread with only 100 shares traded. To me someone is being irresponsible here by setting these prices.
Being honest, I've had problems in the past understanding how stock prices are set. Could someone explain how the above can happen?
Thanks in Advance,
Ed
PS I expect the open price tomorrow will be at or around $133.
