Though I'm not a lawyer, my experience with charitable remainder trusts is that they must be managed by an independent investment advisor. That being the case, one can see why an advisor might want to balance the account with something less speculative than BINC. In fact, it is very probable that the trust dictated that the manager must observe certain rules of fiduciary responsibility, and furthermore, that the trust must be managed so that it will produce a certain amount of income for the beneficiaries (usually the children). So I would not take any sales by a CRT manager to be significant at all as an indicator of future stock performance. Just the opposite is true. The trust becomes the vehicle for selling securities at a huge capital gain, without paying any taxes (since the remaining capital in the trust goes to charity after a set number of years).

The long awaited GRAS has arrived, and already we can see some movement in the shares. Anyone care to speculate on how high these shares may go? If tagatose gets into 20 million tubes of toothpaste every year, it could generate unbelievable profits.

The only cloud on the horizon is that the company was not selected to continue its contract with the government for a certain information system it had been managing. That may not be a particularly big portion of profits, but one wonders why their contract wasn't renewed.
