Have you ever heard the phrase "The customer is always right?";-)
When negotiating a contract with a large VAR of many vendors, it is best not to approach the customer as an equal. It is odd how other vendors were willing to bend over backwards to meet specific needs. Something Cisco used to be quite good at.

The dwindling market share is but a symptom of a much larger issue, an issue that obviously bleeds over into all market segments.
