BTW, Did Yahoo Japan split? I see 66.9m yen but earlier this week it was 120.4 at biz.yahoo.co.jp I wonder if the share split has anything to do with the Yahoo Investment Holding Act dilemna? I also wonder about Idealab! as well with their S1 filing which has been delayed. I think they still have shares in Goto.com and carsdirect.com (currently selling 2000 cars/month!!) Today I was at the Golden State Capital Network. 20 startup companies presented, most had first rounds of less than $1m and they were raising their next round of $10-20m!. I heard of a company that recently packaged all their rounds A-F in their A round to save time!! Maybe Softbank could start a service called packaged IPO and sell Delaware company registration, Series A financing and S-1 registration! Gary Burke from Nasdaq's Silicon Valley office said the unprofitable companies on the Nasdaq outperformed the profitable ones in '99...no surprise. Well, in Japan when you celebrate you eat sushi, so time for some raw fish!
