Guy: I am impressed with your trading discipline. It makes sense, I understand it, but it is hard not to pull the trigger on quality stocks that have been killed for no apparent reason. I have made big money on the dips in high flyers such as EMLX, JDSU, SDLI, GLW and RFMD.
On the other hand, I am currently smarting from my MLNM buy at 180 when it was already 40% off its high. It continued to fall another 50 points, unfortunately on a day that I was in transit and out of touch with the market. Obviously, I regret my decision on MLNM (especially when I could not monitor it).
However, it has been my experience that you can make more than enough on these type of trades to make up for the bad ones if you keep close mental stops.
