The Good:
AT&T has stepped up to the plate and announced what they are willing to pay a minimum of $48/shr for 30 million ATHM shares. Who wants to be first to disagree and sell for less?
ATHM has set the price for last mile access. It is 2*(ATHM's CURRENT PRICE - $30)*(# of HOMES PASSED).
The better:
Interactive TV. A piece of the interactive TV revenue will be huge. There is no doubt that this will become a source of revenue and, as far as I know, no one has placed a value on this.
There are several pre ipo companies working on this concept. Jermoluk, months ago, was at a conference and there he quoted studies that have shown the buy rate (impulse buying) though interactive TV are dramatically higher than other forms of at home shopping.
As far as I know, no one has placed a value on this.
