Don, RE: Maybe hiring Kurlak was Tigers downfall. Probably kept them out of TXN and got them out of INTC. Actually, Kurlak's picks for Tiger were some of the few shining stars in the portfolio. Tiger has had large stakes in both MOT and INTC that were primarily bought soon after Kurlak arrived there. Most recently, in the fourth quarter of 1999, Tiger purchased almost 800,000 shares of Intel. For a portfolio where clients were leaving in droves, that is a major purchase. Julian Robertson has had a lot of problems. Kurlak wasn't one of them.
