Tickets on the Go: Ticketmaster Rates a Strong Buy
By Paul DeMartino
Looking for a play in Internet stocks? Analysts and investment banks contributing research to Multex.com have identified the most followed companies this week in The Internet Analyst'sSM universe of 150 stocks:*

TICKETMASTER ONLINE CITYSEARCH (TMCS): Thomas Weisel Partners reiterated its STRONG BUY rating on TICKETMASTER ONLINE CITYSEARCH on March 22, with a 12-month price target of $51. The firm projects EPS losses of $2.23 and $2.04 for 2000 and 2001, respectively. Although the ticket service's site posted some impressive growth figures for February (an increase in traffic of 13% over the month before), the most compelling story here is the opportunities that wireless telecommunications represent. Already, the company's service has been integrated into PALM's (PALM) Palm VII handheld organizer. TICKETMASTER is also in talks with NOKIA (NOK), AvantGo, and PALM to create what the brokerage believes will be a "killer" application that will permit travelers to access content over wireless access protocol devices regardless of geographic location. The company's valuation is based upon an enterprise-value-to-sales ratio, which excludes the "hidden" investment by TICKETMASTER in FAIRMARKET (FAIM).
