Must have missed this one...1.6 Gig AMD processor?

From AMDzone.com:

Kelvin Mah let me know that on page 37 of the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly has news about an AMD powered Intellivision console. The Mattel Intellivision competed head to head with the Atari 2600 back in the day. Read on:

The new system will reportedly feature the following: The recently announced AMD 1.6 ghz processor (thought to be developed by a relatively unknown team called Lipra 1 Technologies), and internal 8GB hard drive for saves, built in cable modem, DVD/CD player, Dolby Digital sound system, and in a novel approach to the market, a deluxe model will be shipped with a 100-watt, six speaker sound system, including subwoofer. Korean giant Daewoo will be primarily involved as a manufacturer.

Mattel will be behind the Giga Intellivision, which according to the article is already being used by focus groups in a demo form. It would be something if Intellivison and Amiga could both rise from the grave. Update: Duane at Gamer's Depot say this is in the April issue of EGN. So it's looking to be a April fools joke. I hadn't even thought that the April issue had been out yet. Damn, a new Intellivision would have been cool. :) Thanks to Apshai for the heads up that Mattel made the Intellivision. :)

Comment: When did the jump from 1 Gig to 1.6 Gig occur?
