Well, it looks like something significant is starting to happen now ... here is a clipping from a Corel Press release: (I wonder when it will turn into real revenue?)

Ottawa, Ontario March 30, 2000
Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSE: COR) is pleased to announce that recent market information from PC Data indicates that Corel's market share in the Linux US retail market has increased significantly since November of 1999. According to PC Data, as of November 1999, Corel held a 2.3 per cent* share of the Linux US retail market. That market share has increased by more than 8 times to 19.3 per cent**as of February 2000.

"We are thrilled with the level of support we're receiving from our customers. Access to alternatives in the marketplace is vital for healthy competition and it fosters innovation,? said Dr. Michael Cowpland, president and chief executive officer of Corel Corporation. ?As the numbers from PC Data indicate, people are excited about what we have to offer. We look forward to continuing this momentum with the release of WordPerfect Office 2000 for Linux- the first marquee application on Linux and the next key piece in Corel's strategy to deliver the power of Linux to the desktop."
