London, March 30 (Bloomberg) -- Michael Dell, chief executive of Dell Computer Corp., the biggest direct seller of personal computers, has criticized British Telecommunications Plc for delays in introducing high-speed Internet services, the Times reported, without citing sources. Dell met with BT Chief Executive Sir Peter Bonfield and Gordon Brown, the U.K. chancellor of the exchequer, during a visit to London four weeks ago. Dell also said BT's trial high-speed Internet service, which costs 50 pounds ($80) a month, is much more expensive than in the U.S., the Times reported.
Dell said yesterday Thomas Meredith was leaving his position as chief financial officer for a new role as managing director of Dell Ventures, and being replaced by James Schneider.
