For every $million closet in Palo Alto, theres a $400 closet in Santa Clara....just a perspective.....i think a lot of people on SI are so caught up and obsessed with Palo Alto that it clouds their judgement....you have to have lived in other parts of the world to understand what inflation really means and how unaffordable things are outside of US....

I don't think you can equate inflation in SV to inflation in US. SV is in growth stages...its expanding...and inflow of people is greater than outflow....inflow is greater than the expansion rate...hence the RE prices...

Selective selling is important as well....but if one is for short term hauls....you didn't answer my question....don't you think QCOm will be at least 200 in 2002, irrespective of my cost basis ???
