I also bought in 94, although at 1.77 I missed the bottom. As I recall, it dropped 50% from 40 to 20 that year (prior to the last 5 splits. An earlier post tried to claim that "time will tell" if holding from 94 was the right move. The data seems to say otherwise (unless you sold a year ago and bought QCOM and JDSU).
