CNBC's Maria Bartiromo Would Like to Be the Next Kathie Lee, Paper Says
By Catherine Dodge

New York, March 30 (Bloomberg) -- Financial news network
CNBC's Maria Bartiromo would consider leaving her job as stock-
market reporter to take Kathie Lee Gifford's spot on the ``Live
With Regis and Kathie Lee' show, the New York Post reported,
citing an interview in People magazine. The 32-year-old, who also
anchors the midday ``Street Signs' program, is making it clear
she would like to be in the running to replace Gifford, who
recently said she was leaving the program, blaming tabloid
scrutiny of her personal life. A spokeswoman for the morning talk
show produced by Walt Disney Co.'s ABC couldn't be reached to
comment on whether Bartiromo is being considered, the paper said.

ABC's ``Who Wants to be a Millionaire,' hosted by Regis
Philbin, has led a ratings resurgence at ABC, which has
leapfrogged NBC and CBS to claim first place this season.
