Pat The ability of a major P/C mfgr to capture >42% of a market is very encouraging.
If P/C sales grow 20% a year, and Dells market share rises from 9% to 20% in two years Dell would be selling 220 % more computers- over an 80% increase per year.
Considering that:
1. PC sales in China are expected to increase 100% this year, not 20%
2. That Dell P/C sales grow at multiples of the industry rate.
3. That Dells other areas of effort have a much greater growth rate than P/C's
How is Dell going to keep from exceeding the predicted growth rate rate of ~35% ?
