It gets more interesting. I had lunch with a buddy of mine who is an economist with Bank One (ONE) last week, and his thoughts on the Fed & interest rates are kind of scary. He thinks that the 5 rate hikes so far have only kept up with inflation, so the real cost of money is the same now as it was last year at this time, and this is the reason the hikes thus far have been laughed at. He thinks maybe a 50 basis point hike is next. You only have to look at today's GNP numbers to see where his thinking is.. Naz almost down 5% on the day....and it ain't over yet...glad I am on the right side of this one..
