I think many of us are in the same or similar boat as yours.
If it makes you feel any better, here's a clip of my totals after today from my full service brokerage account. If it wasn't for a couple insurance and financials that are included here, I'd be down a lot more.

thus far I'm down approx. $50k. I feel like
kicking anything in sight. It's my worst week
ever. I'm afraid to look at my 401k, which
is heavily invested in agressive stock funds. I
could only imagine the carnage there.

Of course, I wasn't complaining last year, or
last week. It's all relative, my friend. Give
a little, take a little. Hopefully you end up
with more than you started with :-)
