Dear Rick: I prefer no charges of any kind
So do I!! Then I guess I need you to tell me a few of your favorites that have no charges (and are still good stocks). To buy even one from Fidelity will cost me $38 plus $15 send out fee, so it would be nice if there were some good ones that allow you to buy the first from the company too.
April's DRIP investor has a write up on a stock I like, Reuters. However, there are the following charges: one time administration fee of $15, purchasing and selling costs of $5 plus 12c per share and a fee of up to $2.50 to reinvest dividends. The last especially makes me wonder as it could eat up the entire dividend! Are these traditional, or excessive. Please advise.
Also what does ocp stand for?
