Outpost.com is going to lose business customers. their marketing claim of free overnight shipping is quickly falling apart. for the second time in a month i've ordered a heavy item that i knew would be a bargin compared to a pay shipping vendor if i could get it from Outpost.com both times the web site said the item was in stock and available for overnight shipping. both times Ingram and other distributors had plenty in stock at multiple warehouses. an d BOTH times Outpost.com mysteriously said the item was out of stock, but did not even bother to inform me of this fact till i called them several days after placing the order. egghead.com and NECX.com and others who offer free shipping had a notice on their site that such heavy items would require either extra fees or really cheap/long shipping terms. outpost.com gave no such option or feedback. it's pretty clear to me that outpost.com is now set up such that if an order is not profitable for them, they'll simply pretend the item is out of stock. not a very good way to do business. i would have preferred they be straight with me from the get go. hope your investment here work out.
