Group Led by AT&T to Acquire Stake in Net2Phone for $1.4 Billion An INTERACTIVE JOURNAL News Roundup NEW YORK -- A group of investors led by AT&T Corp. agreed to pay about $1.4 billion for a large minority stake in Internet-telephony company Net2Phone Inc. In a separate deal, Web portal Yahoo! Inc. agreed to acquire a minority stake in Net2Phone in exchange for about $150 million in Yahoo stock. The deals are a vote of confidence in Net2Phone's effort to use the Internet as a platform for cheap long-distance phone calls. Jim
