If I had sent a check to my broker and told him to put it in a mutual fund, I'd be on the phone and ask him, "what happened to it? Did your portfolio manager use my money for a trip to Tahiti?

The fact is that there have been record inflows of money into money-market funds and the market.

So what have the firms been doing with it?
